Global warming prevention

Activity policy

 Global warming counter measures can be broadly divided into 2. Suppressing mitigation and adapting to global warming adaptation. Global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions by the human race, suppressing mitagation is performed and adaption to the events that had happened. Global warming mitigation means suppressing the main source which is the greenhouse gas in the atmosphere, reducing its concentration. Various voluntary efforts and policies to mitigate global warming is currently being performed but it is still not enough to stop global warming and greenhouse gas emissions are still increasing.
 According to the IPCC 4th assessment reports,mitagation efforts in 20 to 30 years in the future will have great influence.If we do not take counter measures as soon as possible,our loss will be enormous and irreparable.Pointing out the need and urgency for large-scale counter measures,much more than we do now.


 On developed countries,various efforts had been made against global warming. Certain results had been obtained but global warming problems has surfaced and prolonged.Lately, economic growth is given priority due to the global economic downturn, counter measures to prevent global warming has only become a matter of formality.The government is reviewing energy policies, to conserve energy and energy efficiency but economy development is always the priority, not the essential counter measures.And since nuclear power plants has a big risk, attention has been gathering on renewable energy.
 Solar power have been made from household to large-scale facilities, only because of the high electrical charge buyback program, the awareness of greenhouse gas reduction came low. In the people's lives, there is an increase on interest on enviromental awareness by expanding the use of eco-friendly products and renewable energy but still we can not let go of the convenient and abundant life that we have now and still rely on the industry .Greenhouse gas reduction is still far from realization.
 Greenhouse gas reduction as a counter measure to prevent global warming, the greenhouse gas concentration on the atmosphere must be reduced to an appropriate value and should be maintained to achieve both economic growth and a healthy civic life.


Greenhouse gas mitigation

 In order to suppress the greenhouse gas and reduce its concentration on the atmosphere, it important to know its characteristics/its nature.Greenhouse gas is mostly made up of carbon dioxide from the combustion of fossil fuels to make energy,(generators,heat,power) for the industry,transportation and household consumptions, each sector should have their own counter measures to reduce greenhouse gas.Conserving energy such as carbon fixation, as a policy and technical aspect on larger scale areas, to build a low-carbon society to reduce grennhouse gas. These international framework efforts are being carried out voluntarily by the government, industrial companies and at homes.Further strengthening is expected.
 We at JWG, intend to re-produce material circulation function of the Earth originally has,use it to strengthen its abilities and complement the waters and prevent global warming.



Generation suppression of Dinitrogen monoxide (N2O)

  Dinitrogen monoxide has 300 times higher effects than carbon dioxide, generation suppression is necessary. Dinitrogen monoxide generates from the process of nitrogen circulation of ammonia nitrogen NH4 → nitrite NO2・nitrate NO3 → nitrogen N2. There is no efficient technology measures that has been established. Nitrogen circulation in aerobic and anaerobic conditions with the presence of nitric acid bacteria and denitrifying bacteria, it is difficult to grasp the extent and the presence or absence of Dinitrogen monoxide generation, so the measures is not uniform. Dinitrogen monoxide made by human are the use of nitrogen fertilizers on farmlands and ammonia in wastewater facilities.
  Organic treatment on public sewage treatment facilities and livestock waste water treatment facilities are generally carried out by the activated sludge method.Organic matter is broken through aeration in activated sludge. Ammonia nitrogen contained in the waste water will become nitrate NO3 to nitrite NO2 by nitrifying bacteria activated by aeration. Nitrite NO2 and nitrate NO3 accumulated in the aeration tank will generate Dinitrogen monoxide N2O. Biological nitrogen treatment in waste water facilities is processed by providing an anaerobic tank to decompose nitrogen NO3 to N2, aeration tanks will generate N2O. Furthermore, Dinitrogen monoxide N2O is also generated from the waste sludge in the aeration tank and sludge in anaerobic state will also generate methane CH4.

  Dinitrogen monoxide N2O generation mechanism has also been carried out in the same manner as in rivers and lakes. Ammonia nitrogen that flows into rivers and lakes, nitrified in the oxygen in the water will accumulated nitrite NO2 and nitrate NO3. In addition to the nitrate NO3 from agricultural and household waste water, NO3 will be accumulated and will generate dinitrogen monoxide. And if the bottom section of the water is anaerobic, methane CH4 will generate.
  In order to suppress the generation of dinitrogen monoxide, is to avoid accumulating nitrite NO2 and nitrate NO3 in the water. To decompose nitrate NO3 is by bilogical nitrogen processing that requires the action of denitrifying bacteria in anaerobic conditions. In the activated sludge treatment tank, anaerobic conditions is made and activates the denitrifying bacteria to carry out the reaction of ammonia nitrogen NH4 → nitrite NO2・nitrate NO3 → nitrogen N2 fast, the generation of dinitrogen monoxide can be suppressed.



★Generation suppression of dinitrogen monoxide by CarbonFiber

  CarbonFiber water purification material with its large surface area for microorganisms to adhere, will decompose and remove nutrients such as organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus. By placing the CarbonFiber in the water, it will spread out and create a CarbonFiber mass creating anaerobic conditions on the inside and denitrifying bacteria will adhere. Therefore, ammonia nitrogen is nitrified in the surface by the nitrifying bacteria, nitrate will be then decomposed to nitrogen and water. Nitrogen will diffused into the atmosphere. In the CarbonFiber biofilm, the presence of the nitrifying bacteria in aerobic conditions and denitrifying bacteria in anaerobic conditions, nitrogen decomposition reaction is promptly carried out, the generation of nitrous oxide, a greenhouse gas can be suppressed.
  And by using carbon fiber as water purification material on rivers and lakes, the removal and decomposition of Nitrogen such as ammonia nitrogen and nitric acid in the water will be carried out promptly. Will obtain a high nitrogen removal effect, the generation of Dinitrogen monoxide, greenhouse gas will be suppressed.



Carbon dioxide absorption

 Carbon dioxide is a very significant circulation material on earth. It is an essential gas that supplies oxygen and helps the plants to grow.The mitigation of carbon dioxide is important to increase the circulation of oxygen, but the absorption of the trees and plants are important as well.The earth was once covered with rainforest.Southeast Asia,Central South America and Central Africa with large scale rainforest has adsorbed carbon dioxide and released oxygen.But after the Industrial Revolution,urbanization and agriculture development due to the increase of population,the forest are destroyed and devastated.The carbon dioxide absorption to produce oxygen abilities hasbeen reduced.In the recent years, there are efforts to bring back the forest but large scale developments has reduced the forest area,air pollution on emerging countries has prevented sunlight and it is impossible to bring back the earths capabilities to absorb carbon dioxide.


・Carbon dioxide absorption on the seas

 Carbon dioxide artificially increased by humans,will dissolve in the sea. However, carbon dioxide makes the seawater acidic and will strongly interfere with the calcuim carbonate generation of the shells and skeleton of the sea organisms.It will adversely affect marine life.Therefore it is necessary to be absorbed by phyto-plankton and seaweeds. Photosynthetic plants in shallow waters will absorb carbon dioxide through photosynthesis, carbon will become solid and will emit oxygen.

 The sea covers 70% of the earth. With the wide surface area of the sea, carbon dioxide is dissolved in large amounts. Carbon circulation abilities of the sea can be expected.However,phyto-plankton,seaweeds and seagrasses where sunlight can reach, and that primarily produce photosynthesis only live in the shallow waters.And it only covers a small part of the seas.Shallow waters with 50 m depth,(tideland,beach) covers only 0.06% of the seas, and if the circulation in these small areas will get worse,it will primarily reduce the marine environment production.



★Sea forest restoration projects

 In the recent years, waters in the coastal areas with the progress on urbanization and agricultural development in the inland, are being improved by building dams and river banks to protect the basin.This made the minerals difficult to flow to the sea. The mineral source which is the forest,due to unplanned deforestation and forestry, is left without care and is devastated.Mineral iron that nurtures the forest will not be supplied to the sea, seaweeds will not re-produce and will reduce the function of photosynthesis.
 Re-generating the seaweeds and marine algae "Sea Forest" will be a counter measure against global warming.It will increase the material circulation function of the sea, allowing fish organisms to have seagrass beds as their habitat and will conserve and improve marine ecosystems.

Seaweed bed Project

 Carbon fiber is a material made of carbon with great bilogical compatibility.With its large surface area and carbon fiber characteristics where seaweeds spores will easily adhere and difficult to remove. Spores on the sea will attach on the MiraCarbon Kombu as threads of seaweeds then will be germinated and will grow as a seedling.Therefore, by installing Miracarbon Kombu on the sea water "Sea Forest" will regenerate.
 In addition to this,MiraCarbon Kombu's biological compatibility,sea grass beds will serve as the place for fishes to lay their eggs and nurture their offsprings.Shellfish such as oysters and sea squirts eggs will prefer this place,promote its growthand will improve our marine resources.MiraCarbon Kombu to be installed with iron, that elutes iron minerals due to the the difference in electro negativity will help with the growth of algaes and will have a positive effects on sea organisms and its productivity.
