What is global warming

　The earth's average temperature is not constant,but when there is cold reduction compared to the past and a rise in temperature,it is called global warming.Global warming and climate change is in a close causal relationship. Climate change is stimulated by the amount of rainfall and the wind power that causes the temperature to change.It greatly affects the events and life on earth.The earth's temperature is determined by sunlight,the most significant factor that provides the earth with heat,warmth and a variety of benefits such as brightness.The sunlight strength is not always the same,it changes its strength depending on the light that emits,the heat and its distance from the earth.The earth has repeatedly changed its climate to cold and warm since the ancient times.The ice age when the whole earth was frozen lasted for a long time.The natural change is mostly caused by the sunlight but the earth itself has the ability to adjust the ground temperature from the heat of the sunlight.That role is fulfilled by the atmosphere that surrounds the earth.The sunlight that reaches the earth will reflect and will become a radiant heat on the earth's surface.Components in the atmosphere such as nitrogen and oxygen keeps the heat and keeps the climate change stable.Therefore, these components in the atmosphere also affects the earth's temperature.

　Global warming is that the earth's temperature is getting warm, a phenomenon that is called global warming.The atmosphere that has the ability to adjust the temperature, absorbs the heat that from the earth's surface then releases it again on earth ,it has played a major role to keep the temperature around 14℃.The main component in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide with it's primary function is called the greenhouse gas effect..Without the greenhouse gas effect, the earth's average temperature will be -19℃,the earth will be frozen.The earth's temperature will be stable if there is a good and balanced greenhouse gas effect existing in the atmosphere.

　The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in the late 18th century(around the year of 1750) compared to the recent industrial revolution of the human race that consumes large amounts of coal and oil has greatly rised.Due to the rise of the emissions of carbon dioxide, the temperature of the earth has also risen.And if the human race will continue the same activities, the average temperature of the earth will also continue to rise.

　United Nations agency"Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change"(IPCC) predicts that there will be a 0.3〜4.8℃ rise on the average global temperature on the year 2100,compared to the year 2000.90% of the greenhouse gas emissions are carbon dioxide, but other greenhouse gasses such as methane and freon,man-made greenhouse gas has a thousand times bigger effects.Even with just a little amount, the impact is apprehensive.The problem on global warming is due to the increase of such carbon dioxide and freon, greenhouse gas effects the rise of the temperature on earth.This phenomenon is called the rise on global temperature.

When the temperature gets high

　The rise in global temperature and its effects on our life is directly difficult to understand.But with the intense heat of the heatwave in the recent years,even the slight rise on the average temperature that is higher compared to the year before, with this we can understand that there is a great impact .The rise on the average temperature increased the number of patients with heat stroke,extremely producing years with very little rain and years with lots of rainfall, causing places to be drought and flooded.Heavy rains with 100mm per hour has increased in the recent years, it has caused rivers to flood and landslide damages.The cause of heavy rains is the typhoon.Typhoons are likely to occur when there is a temperature rise on the sea　waters near the equator.Strong typhoons,with its heavy rains and strong winds will also cause damages by bringing high tides.

　By looking at the global scale, the Antartic and Arctic ice are melting, and with the rise of the sea level ,islands are expected to sink.The rise on the temperature also affects the ecosystem of the plants and animals.Affecting different kinds of organisms inhabit not their usual habitats.If global warming will continue,mosquitoes that lives in the tropical areas will start to go north, it will mediate pathogens and will carry a lot of diseases.Delicious agricultural products that we have been eating up until now will also be in threat,with pests that will increase together with the rise of the temperature and will lead to the detoriation in quality of our agricultural products.The rise in temperature not only affects the world's agricultural products but also affects our marine resources.This will lead to food shortage. Areas with high dependency on importation of foods will be greatly influenced econimically.
