We established “Japan Water Guard INDIA” in India, the world's most environmental pollution country.
As India is emerging country, severe environmental destruction is occurring due to rapid economic development and population increase. In the air pollution ranking of about 3000 cities worldwide renewed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016, the worst city was Zabol of Iran, but the cities of India were in 2nd and 3rd place. And 10 cities in India are in the worst 20, so India is currently the world's number one environmentally destroyed country. About 1.3 billion people live in India and it is expected to take over China's population, making it the world's largest populated country in the years ahead. The environmental pollution in India is not only confronted with the pollution in the atmosphere but also with serious water pollution and water shortage problems.
Japan Water Guard India is established to solve the water problem in India and its serious environmental pollution by carrying out the activities of Japan Water Guard. Representatives from India came to Japan on September 4, 2017 and the establishment signing ceremony was held at JWG Japan head office. Here after, we made a pledge to improve the water environment in India by starting with Ganges River Water Quality Purification Project and all through out India.  ■Clean Ganga Project |
